  My brother and I stayed at the River Retreat cabin and that's exactly what it was. The cabin was absolutely perfect; it included everything that you need to cook with including nice quality pots, pans plates and bowels. Being right on the river was just stunning. This location was tucked away in the woods and 25 minutes from the entrance of the Sequoia National Park which was very convenient. The drive in the FAT airport was around an hour and 15 min but it was a beautiful drive. Our host was absolutely top notch with offering recommendations from where to shop to an abundance of options of things to do in the area and the national park. Our family will definitely be returning.

  The cabin was absolutely beautiful — cozy, private, and so peaceful. Standing on the deck and watching the river flow by was truly the highlight. The host was very insightful and gave amazing recommendations, and we loved all the thoughtful personal touches throughout the cabin. I would definitely stay here again!

  We loved this cabin in the woods! It was very clean, modern, and comfortable. It felt luxurious, especially with the super air conditioning in the 106-degree summer heat! The beds and couches were comfortable and the kitchen was good and clean. With a large refrigerator, full oven, toaster, and microwave, we were able to bring and cook all of our food for the entire 3-night stay for our family of four, which was great. The river (with the two decks) is a short walk (felt like a miniature two-minute nature walk) away from the back door and was beautiful. Srey was very communicative, gave us lots of helpful information ahead of time, and warned us that the river might be dry (August 2021 heat), but it did have water in it and we enjoyed it! The cabin is about a 15-minute drive on a back-country road away from the main road. Not bad, really, and it gave it a more secluded peaceful feel, but it does take about 25-30 minutes to get the the national park entrance gate from this cabin. The slide-rock recreation area is only about 20 minutes away from the cabin, which was a GREAT place to swim and cool off in the summer. We had a great experience here, and would book it again!

  The view by the river made this trip absolutely worth it. We adored the location and how beautiful the views were along the trails. The home itself was fine. There were a few minor issues we had, but nothing that we couldn’t manage or work around. The owner was so kind and responsive during our stay (easily accommodated us with our requests). I recommended a few things to the owners to keep in mind for future visits because we would love to return to their beautiful home sometime soon!
